Steps:

1. Using the Reports Module

  • To begin, open the Reports & Dashboards module from the main navigation menu

  • You’ll be directed to a centralized page containing all predefined reports, organized by module—such as Companies, Matters, Tasks, Time Entries, and more.
You can access it also via Reports > All Reports.

  • Click on a report category to expand and view all related reports.

  • Use the search bar to quickly find a report by name.

  • Hover over any report title to view its description and better understand its purpose before selecting it.

To generate a report:

  • Click on the report name.

  • Use the filter panel to apply the desired filters (e.g., date range, matter name, entity, etc..).

  • Click Search or Submit to generate the results.

  • Export your report using the gear icon at the top right. Export formats vary depending on the report (Excel or PDF).

Examples of Useful Reports:

  • Hearing Roll Session per Court – track hearings by court and date.

  • Hearing Pending Updates – identify hearings not yet updated.

  • Time Entries KPI, Conflict of Interest, and SLA Reports for matters and contracts are also commonly used by legal teams.

You can also mark reports as favorites by clicking the star icon next to each report. All your favorite reports will then be grouped under a dedicated "Favorites" section for quick and easy access later.

2. Building Custom Reports

Lexzur includes a Report Builder that lets users create personalized reports by selecting the exact data and columns they need.

  • Build your report once, and rerun it anytime with updated data.

  • Customize filters, columns, sorting, and save your layout for future use.

Refer to the Custom Report Builder guide for full steps.

3. Extracting Reports from System Grids

In addition to the reporting module, each module grid allows for custom data export.

For example, to generate a report from the Practice Module:

  • Go to Litigation Cases or Corporate Matters.

  • Use the filters panel to refine your results by client, status, assignee, etc.

  • Customize your view by selecting the columns to display using the Columns option.

  • Click Export from the top-right of the page.

You have two export options:

  • Export to Excel (All Fields) – exports all available data regardless of your current view.

  • Export to Excel (Current Fields) – exports only the data currently displayed in the grid.

This method can be used to extract reports for Corporate Matters, Litigation Cases, Tasks, Time Entries, Invoices, and more.
