Objectives
- Configure the Rules of Automatic creation of Tasks and Reminders
Steps
Task and trigger automation in Lexzur allows you to streamline and automate tasks and reminders when certain events occur such as creating corporate matters, litigation cases or contracts, or setting judgments.
- Navigate to System Settings.
- Under System Preferences, select Task & Triggers Automation
Add a New Trigger
- Click the button at the top right to Add a New Trigger.
Create Your Rule
- Rule Details: Give your rule a name and description in the Rule Details section.
Add Trigger Event:
- Click the green tab to add the event that will trigger your rule.
This event could be adding a corporate matter, litigation case, task, contract, or setting a judgment.
Add Actions or Conditions
Add Actions/Conditions:
- Click the plus sign to add an action or condition.
- Use the "Then" option to add actions such as tasks or reminders.
- To customize further based on specific conditions, use "Add if" for the If-Else workflow.
Build the Rule Condition:
- Click on "Add If" to add a condition, which will appear on the right.
Add condition types like Practice Area, Priority, Client, Channel, or Requested By.
Choose whether all conditions must match or any condition can trigger the action.
Configure Else Block:
- Add an "Else" block for different actions or conditions if the initial ones don't match.
- Configure the Else block with its own set of conditions, similar to the If block.
Add multiple condition blocks as needed, and the workflow will evaluate each block's conditions, executing the actions if the criteria are met.
Create Actions
- Click on Add Then under the block.
- In the Actions section, select the appropriate action, such as a task or reminder.
Configure Task:
- Specify the due date (calculated based on the matter creation date).
- Choose the task type.
- Select the task assignee (e.g., matter assignee, creator, or another user).
- Provide a title for the task.
Configure Reminder:
To add a reminder, click Add Then, select Reminder, and
- Specify the due date (calculated based on the matter creation date).
- Choose the reminder type.
- Select the user to remind (e.g., matter assignee, creator, or another user).
- Provide a summary for the reminder.
Proceed in the same way, configure the trigger with multiple actions based on your business rules.
Once configured, the rule will automatically create tasks or reminders based on the conditions you set.
You can easily update, delete, or disable any existing rules from the Task and Trigger Automation Settings page.
