Steps
This guide will walk you through how to navigate Lexa chat options and settings, providing an overview of the available features to help you use Lexa more efficiently.
Lexa now includes enhanced capabilities such as a Chat History panel, allowing you to revisit and continue past conversations, and a Favorites section for quick access to saved prompts.
Whether you are using Lexa General Chat or accessing Lexa within a specific record, you can manage your chats and settings directly from the chat panel.
Lexa Chat Panel Options
When you open Lexa, you will find several controls at the top-right corner of the chat panel:
1. More Options (Three Dots Menu)
Click the three dots icon to access additional features:
Prompts
Browse and select from a list of pre-configured prompts
Quickly start common tasks without typing manually
Chat History
View previous conversations
Reopen and continue past discussions with Lexa
Settings
Customize how Lexa responds:
Jurisdiction Selection
Choose the country whose legal framework Lexa should follow
Select from the Country of Jurisdiction dropdown
Knowledge Base & Custom Instructions
Enable the option to allow Lexa to use your Knowledge Base and custom instructions for more tailored responses
Sidebar Mode
Adjust how the chat panel is displayed within the system
2. New Chat
Click the New Chat icon to start a fresh conversation with Lexa.
This helps keep topics organized and separate from previous discussions.
3. Expand / Minimize Chat
Use the Expand option to open Lexa in a larger view for easier interaction
Minimize the chat panel to keep it accessible alongside your current work
How to Save and Access Favorite Prompts
Lexa allows you to save frequently used prompts for quick access through the Favorites feature.
Saving a Prompt as Favorite
- You will find a star icon next to each prompt, whether it is:
- A predefined prompt, or
- A custom prompt you create
To save a prompt:
- Write the desired prompt in the chat.
- Click the star icon next to the prompt.
- Once selected, the prompt will be marked as a favorite.
Accessing Favorite Prompts
- Open the Options menu (three dots) in the Lexa chat panel.
- Navigate to the Prompts section.
- You will find a dedicated list of your Favorite Prompts for quick reuse.
