Steps

The Bulk Time Entry Logging feature allows users to record multiple time entries at once using a spreadsheet-style interface, making time tracking faster and more efficient.

Where to Access Bulk Time Entry

You can access the Bulk Time Entry option from multiple locations in the system:

  • From the Create button in the main menu → Select Time Entry, then click Add Bulk Time Entries at the bottom

  • From a Matter or Case page → Navigate to the Time Entries tab and select Actions →  Add Bulk Time Entries

  • From the Time Module → Open Time Entries, then choose Add Bulk Time Entries

How to Use Bulk Time Entry

1. Add Time Entry Rows

  • You can add up to 15 time entries at once

  • Each row represents a separate time entry

For each row, fill in the required details, including:

  • Type (Matter, Task, or Contract)

  • Record Name

  • User Name

  • Date & Time

  • Duration

  • Additional details such as:

    • Category

    • Billable status

    • Any other relevant fields

These fields are similar to those used when creating a single time entry.

2. Add or Duplicate Entries

  • Click New Time Entry to add a new row

  • Use the Clone option to duplicate an existing row and quickly create similar entries

3. Use the Defaults Panel

To speed up data entry:

  • Use the Defaults Panel to define common values (e.g., user, category, or billable status)

  • Any new rows you add will automatically inherit these default values

4. Review Summary

At the bottom of the page, you will find a summary section displaying:

  • Total number of time entries

  • Total time recorded

  • Total calculated amount

This provides a quick overview before saving.

5. Save the Entries

Once all entries are completed:

  • Click Save

All time entries will be recorded and reflected in:

  • The Time Entries list

  • The related Matter or Case page
