Getting Started with Lexa

To begin using Lexa, ensure it is activated in your system. You can purchase it from the Marketplace, with a free trial available to test it out.

Accessing Lexa

Lexa is available across multiple modules, including Practice, Contra, and the General Lexa chat.

To open Lexa:

  • Click the Lexa icon at the top-right corner of the screen, or

  • Open the main menu and select Lexa.

  • This opens the General Lexa window.

Set the Jurisdiction

Before submitting any prompt, select the jurisdiction Lexa should follow (for example: US, UAE, Turkey, or France).
Simply search for and select the relevant country.

If no jurisdiction is selected, Lexa will apply a general legal framework by default.

Using General Lexa

General Lexa includes Data Insights and Document Analysis sections with ready-made prompts that allow you to quickly:

  • Summarize matters, cases, contacts, or hearings.

  • Summarize, analyze, or translate documents.

You can also use the search bar at the top to quickly find any prompt or action you need.

For instance, to summarize a matter:

    • Select the relevant action from the “Data Insights” section

    • Search for the item by name or record ID

    • Lexa will generate a bullet-point summary, clearly displaying available information and indicating (Not Provided) for empty fields
    • The result can be copied for future use, and the link at the end will take you directly to the summarized matter for more details.

Document-Based Actions

To work with documents:

  1. Select the required action: Summarize, Translate, or Analyze.

  2. Upload the document using the upload field or by dragging and dropping the file.

  3. Lexa generates results based on the document’s content.

Custom Prompts

If you prefer not to use predefined prompts, you can enter your own custom request directly in the chat window.

You may also upload supporting documents by clicking the attach icon or simply dragging and dropping files into the chat.

For document-related prompts, you can enable citations, allowing Lexa to reference specific sections from the uploaded document in its output.
