Objectives:
- Set Default Time Entry Billing Status
- Prevent Users from Changing Billing Status
Steps:
Open System Settings and navigate to Setup & Configuration under System Preferences.
From the left-hand menu, select the Default Values tab, then look for the Time Entry Status Settings section.
Set the Default Billing Status
Here, you can define the default status of time entries—either Billable or Non-Billable.
Allow or Restrict Status Changes
By default, users can modify the billing status when adding a time entry.
To prevent users from changing the default status, enable the “Disable Changing Time Entry Status” option.
Set Exceptions (Optional)
If certain user groups should still be allowed to change the billing status, list them in the User Groups Without Restriction field. All other users will be restricted and must follow the default configuration.- Save your changes.
