How to Add Petitions/Oppositions at the IP Level

Steps

Follow these steps to add and manage petitions, oppositions, or lawsuits related to an IP record:

1. Access the IP Record

• Open the IP Module from the Main Menu.

• In the grid, locate the IP record you want to update and click on its ID or Name to open it.

2. Navigate to the Petitions/Oppositions Section

• From the left-hand menu panel, go to the "Petition/Opposition" tab.

• Click on “Actions”, then select “Add Petition/Opposition” to create a new entry.

3. Fill in the Petition/Opposition Form

• Type: Select the type of record (e.g., Petition, Opposition, or Lawsuit) from the dropdown.

• Description: Enter a short description of the petition or opposition.

• Optional fields:

  • Arrival Date and Due Date

  • Agent Name

  • Assignee

  • Result

• Once complete, click “Save”.

4. Manage Existing Petitions/Oppositions

• After saving, the new entry will appear in the list on this page.

• Use the Action Wheel next to each record to:

  • View / Edit

  • Delete
