Objectives
- Access SharePoint account from Lexzur attachments tab
- Manage and Link Files from SharePoint
Steps
Lexzur’s integration with SharePoint allows you to seamlessly access and link files or folders directly from your SharePoint account to specific records in Lexzur—such as matters, contracts, tasks, or from the iDocs module.
What Does Linking Mean?
When you link a file or folder from SharePoint, you create a direct reference between that item and the current record you're working on in Lexzur. This means that each time you open the record, you'll be automatically redirected to the linked SharePoint folder, instead of starting from the SharePoint homepage and navigating manually.
This streamlines access, saves time, and ensures consistent file referencing across your workflows.
Steps to Link a File or Folder
Open the Attachments Tab:
Go to any record in Lexzur (matter, contract, task) and open the Attachments tab, or the Idocs module.
Access SharePoint:
Click on the SharePoint tab within the attachments section.
If it’s your first time, you’ll be prompted to log in with your SharePoint credentials.
Browse Your SharePoint Files:
You’ll see your SharePoint environment, including:Sites you follow
Your files and directories
Select and Link:
Navigate to the file or folder you wish to link.
Click the Link button next to it to associate it with the currently open Lexzur record.
You can link multiple items to a single record.
How Linked Items Work
If one file/folder is linked:
Lexzur will automatically redirect you to that location every time you access the attachments tab.If multiple files/folders are linked:
Lexzur will direct you to a centralized folder containing all linked items, where you can browse and open them as needed.
Managing Linked Items
From the linked folder view, you can:
View all associated SharePoint linked files
Open them directly from Lexzur
Unlink any item if no longer needed (all linked items are listed in one place for easy management)
