Objectives:

  • Add new assigned teams

  • Manage existing assigned teams

Steps:

Assigned teams allow you to categorize matters, cases, or contracts under specific teams—such as the Corporate Team, Litigation Team, or Contract Management Team. Each team can include a distinct set of users, helping to streamline assignment workflows and ensure organized handling of the work.

You can create and manage these team categories from the System Settings to align with your internal structure and responsibilities.

  • Go to System Settings → Teams→ Assigned Teams

Adding a New Team

  • Click the “Add Assigned Team” link at the top of the settings page.

  • Enter a Name for the Assigned Team.

  • Optionally, add the users under this team, search and select from the existing user list.

  • Set a Prefix: This is an abbreviation for the Assigned Team used in Matter IDs.

If the Assigned Team Prefix section is enabled in ID Configuration, this field must be filled
  • Click Save to add the new Assigned Team.

Managing Existing Assigned Teams

  • The Assigned Team page displays a list of all defined Assigned Teams.

  • You can Edit or Delete any Assigned Team from this list.

  • To update the Prefix used in IDs, click to edit an existing team and change the prefix as needed.
Assigned Teams already used in any workflow cannot be deleted
If no teams are created, the system automatically assigns all users to a default team called "All Teams." This default team ensures users are included in workflows by default and cannot be deleted.
