Objectives:

  • Set a default contract signature workflow

Steps:

Contra users can select a default digital signature to be used across contracts for signatures directly from the contract default settings. This eliminates the need to manually choose the required workflow in the signature center; instead, the default signature workflow is automatically applied.

  • Go to System Settings→ Setup & Configuration

  • Navigate to the Contracts & Documents Default Values tab. Choose the default signature workflow from the available list

The workflows listed are based on the digital signatures you have enabled and configured in your instance.

 Once you choose a default workflow, the step of selecting a workflow from the Signature Center will be skipped for all new contracts. The default workflow will be automatically selected.

When you go to the Signature Center, it will directly prompt you to add signees instead of choosing a workflow. If no signature center was configured, you can manually add signees here.

The process will then follow the steps of the selected signature workflow. For example, if DocuSign is chosen, add the signees and proceed according to DocuSign’s process.

The steps may differ slightly for other signature workflows like Adobe Sign or Lexzur Sign.
