Objectives

  • Create a Questionnaire from a Contract template

Steps

In App4Legal, you can create a Questionnaire from a Contract Template.

You can do this by heading to the System Settings near the user avatar on the top right.

Scroll to the Contracts section, and choose the "Contract Templates"  in order to create a questionnaire.

You can add, edit, hide in Client Portal or delete Contract templates.

There are some required fields when adding new contract templates:

  • Template Name: Enter the template name
  • Type: A customizable drop-down list to choose the type of the contract.
  • Upload: Upload the contract template with the variables to be filled by the user once generated new contract.

The template can have multiple pages, groups, and variables. (these are the variables that will change whenever a new contract is created from this template)

Enter the page title, and the group title, and start adding variables.

When adding a variable you need to set 4 mandatory fields:

  • Name: Name of the variable
  • Question: The question that will help the user to set the variable in the contract questionnaire
  • Type: it could be either a System variable or a Document Variable
  • Mapped-to Field / Field Type: link the type to one of the fields of the contact's metadata if it's a system variable, or specify the field type otherwise.

You can also specify if each variable is mandatory or not.

Moreover, you have the option to preview your questionnaire before saving it, so that you can have an idea about how it will look and perform further modifications if needed.

Repeat the process depending on the contract's pages and the number of input variables and once done, click on save.
