Steps
Watchers are Client Portal users with whom you can share requests, such as matters and contracts, allowing them to track and view these requests directly from their Client Portal account.
They must be Client Portal users to access the portal, but you can share any request with them regardless of whether they are the requesters.
To share a request with a watcher, the watcher must belong to the same company as the requester. Ensure that the related company is specified in the Manage Clients page within the main system.
To share a matter or contract request with watchers, follow these steps:
1. From the Client Portal:
Open the request page, from the client portal (matter or contract request).
Under the People section, search for watchers and add them.
You can search for watchers using either their Name, username, or emails.
2. From the Main System:
Core or Contra users can share any matter, case, or contract with watchers from the main system as well:
Open a matter/case page for example, then under the People section you'll find a Watcher field (if the matter is shared with the Client Portal).
Search for the Watcher name and add it.
Once added, watchers can access these matters and contracts directly from their Client Portal page.
