How to Use the Advanced Link Workflow Status in Contra

Objectives:

• Link Approvers to Workflow Status
• Link Signees to Workflow Status

Steps:

The link status in Contra has been enhanced to allow the workflow to move automatically based on a single action or all actions. Instead of waiting for everyone to approve or sign to progress the workflow to the "Under Approval" or "Under Signature" stages,

users can now initiate the workflow as soon as the first person in the approval or signature center takes action. It will then move to the next workflow stage according to subsequent actions, such as starting a negotiation, rejecting, and so on.

Configure Link Workflow Status for Approval Center:

• Go to System Settings →  Contract & Document →  Approval Center

• At the end of the approval center configuration page, you will find Link Approvers to Workflow Statuses.  

This section allows you to link specific workflow statuses directly to the workflow used based on the chosen contract type criteria.

• For each approver in the table, specify the contract workflow status after they take any action (e.g., approve, reject, start negotiation, forward negotiation, or complete negotiation)
• Repeat this process for all approvers.

Configure Link Workflow Status for Signature Center:

• Go to System Settings →  Contract & Document →  Signature Center

• Similarly, open the Signature Center and Enable the Link Signees to Workflow Status feature.
• Configure the workflow status for each signee based on their actions.
