Steps

Contract privacy can be managed to suit your specific requirements.

1. Set contract as private by default

You have the option to configure contracts as private by default. This means that upon creating a new contract, it will automatically be set as private, visible only to the user who created the contract and the assignee.

To do so, first, go to System Settings → Setup & Configuration under system preferences

From Contract/Document Default Values set the Private by Default option to Yes.

        2. Set contract privacy per assigned team:

You can set privacy based on the assigned team, ensuring that contracts are visible only to users within that specific team. This setting applies to all contracts, including those created previously, not just newly added contracts.

To Set the contract privacy per assigned team, go to System Settings → Setup & Configuration under system preferences

From the Contract/Document Default Values set the Privacy per Assigned Team option to Yes.

        3. Set contract privacy per User Group:

Similarly, you can set privacy per user group. Go to System Settings → Setup & Configuration under System preferences

From the Contract/Document Default Values -> Privacy per User Group and add the user group/s from the drop-down menu.

        4. Manually set privacy from the contract page:

You can adjust the privacy of a contract manually by opening the contract page and clicking on the Edit icon

Here, you can modify the contract's privacy to private and include the users or user groups with whom you wish to share this contract.
